The Start Of the Lighting Process: Show Me The Light!

Not as successful and quick as I would of liked, but progress is being made none the less! I still have quite a way to go as far as the final lighting is concerned. This is the process so far with a lot of experimentation with lighting intensity, colour, shadows and much more - including blending mode passes.

  2. Last two are working well, even at this early stage. I can imagine that you have things in darkness initially but then light illuminates parts in brief glimpses and vice versa.

  3. Thanks Sam :) and that sounds like a good idea Tomithy - I'll have to experiment when it comes to After Effects, thanks :)

  4. I love the last one Lydia! I think the one before last one it's quite mysterious as well, but still a bit too dark. I think last one or something between them two! looks very good though Lydia! I just love what you've done!

  5. Hey Frizz, remember you've got all those mirrors too; so light that's on one wall or in one area can be imported onto a dark wall or dark area by being reflected in the mirrors - and then that light can be bounced from the mirror onto another area. Another thing to perhaps think about is prismatic effects; for example, the way sunlight might be split into sprays of faded rainbows by the glassware on the table, by the glassware of the chandeliers, by the beveled edges of your mirrors:
